Dig Deeper with an Organizational Assessment

Sustainable change requires intentional effort. In addition to the DEI Deep Dive Masterclass series offered through DTA, DMOs or travel organizations should consider working with a certified DEI consultant to conduct an organizational assessment to dive deeper into understanding and enhancing organizational culture.

The Diversity Tourism Academy offers a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion organizational assessment approach that fuses design thinking, change management, inclusion, and stakeholder intelligence. This approach will yield an unbiased assessment of the current state and galvanize alignment for a unified future.  


The following list outlines typical actions and deliverables:  


Empathize 

  • Conduct 30-minute interviews with stakeholders - staff, influencers, boards, partners, local businesses, etc.
  • Craft and distribute an online survey to a broad set of stakeholders. This often includes a review and rating of marketing assets. 
  • Conduct an operational review of feedback, processes, and associated data that provide insight into areas of optimization. 


Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Provide an executive summary, presentation, and full research report; document results, gaps, and recommendations.  

  

Facilitate Stakeholder Ideation Online Workshop

The success of this effort hinges of the alignment of outcomes and buy-in amongst stakeholders on the future strategy, areas of optimization, and go-forward solutions.


During the workshop, stakeholders will be exposed to optimization opportunities based on data that illustrates the stakeholder’s collective voice.


This approach is used to facilitate this workshop. This democratic method ensures stakeholders have an equitable say in the outcomes. It unifies them around a common vision for the future, and the action plans needed to achieve it.
